hey, the red strips are social security numbers and university ID numbers... the whole principle is basically eliminating all the forms of identification we have... smudging the fingerprints, blurring out the photos, and obscuring the numbers, signatures all that stuff... make you think about how identity is defined, and what it really is to us...or something.
